Regarding the "Pot for Pain" article from May 24th, Rep Laura Hall calls this bill "very personal." This bill should be very personal for ALL of us!

As a nurse, I encounter many people with life-threatening, debilitating diseases and conditions. Why is this medicine still not available to my patients? (I can't even talk about it with my patients, even though I know the truth!)

The truth is that cannabis has been used for centuries as a medicine, and not just for cancer patients. That's a new thing. Cannabis has been shown to be a very effective herbal remedy for a wide range of maladies including, but not limited to anxiety, depression, panic attacks, ADD, ADHD, OCD, inflammation, pain, nausea, loss of appetite, sleep disorders...the list goes on and on. And cannabis has NEVER caused a single death in the history of mankind.

All those so-called side effects such as laziness, apathy, amotivational syndrome, etc. are dose-related. Change the dosage and the side effects go away. Isn't that what our doctors tell us when we start ANY new medication? It usually goes something like this: "Try this drug for your problem, come back and see me and we'll make adjustments as needed." Why is it any different with THIS herb? And that's all this is, folks…a natural herb for many ailments that grows like a weed, without any need for pesticides or fertilization.

Why have we let our government persuade us, without any evidence, that this plant is evil? Why are we still denying people who have run out of options the right to find out if this herbal remedy is right for them?

Unnecessary Fear and Hysteria. Plain and simple.

It may be too late this session to get this bill passed, but rest assured, it will not go away. I and others like me, who know the truth, will still keep trying to re-educate the public about this plant that God gave to us for the healing of all nations.

Ask yourself, "What would Jesus do?" Well, what DID Jesus do? He healed any and all who were around him by anointing with Holy Oil. By the way, the original Holy Anointing Oil contains cannabis. Exodus 30:22-25. Cannabis was mis-translated into calamus. This, according to the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Look it up yourself.

Now, who are you going to believe, God or the US Government? Open your eyes, people! You've been lied to for much too long!

I'm begging you to do your own research into this, because chances are that someone YOU love will be diagnosed with one of these disorders. And what will you tell God when He asks you what you did to help?
