I have been blessed with very healthy children. Thank You, God!
What am I talking about? I'm talking about making every known available treatment possible to these suffering children. And those possible treatments often (more often than not I might add) fail to include cannabis. Cannabis has been proven to help with the nausea from chemo, the loss of appetite, the weight loss, and most of all, it helps with PAIN! You wouldn't watch your own child go through this ordeal without even thinking of giving them a cannabis-laced brownie? Your own kid? Your suffering child? Of course you would. If you knew about what it does. If the treatment option could be brought up and discussed between you and your doctor. But guess what? In only 12 states is it possible for your doctor to even talk to you about cannabis as an option. What about the suffering children in the remaining states? Why do they not get the same level of relief as children in those 12 states? We're all human beings. Health is a fundamental right given to us by God. How dare the Federal Government suppose to usurp that right!! The Feds are waaaay out of their jurisdiction here. I for one am standing up and saying NO MORE!! Adults are not the only ones who suffer pain. Adults are not the only ones who get cancer, AIDS, Hepatitis, Anxiety, Depression, Anorexia, etc, etc. For now, all I'm asking you to do is think of this little guy the next time you see medical marijuana legislation come up on your state's ballot. And -this time-actually pick up the phone and call your Congressmen. It really helps to get a personal phone call from a constituent. Better yet, contact your state's Compassionate Care Bill committee. Ask what you can do to help. Then do it. Somebody I asked, "Why doesn't somebody do something?" Then I realized I was somebody.
